  • Banquet Q-A by Ken Dyne

I'm looking for 20 people to take a look at what I believe to be my most important creation in mentalism.

I've dreamed of adding Q \\ & A or some time of reading routine to my act for years. After all, if we werereallyreading minds this is what we should be doing But the problem is that most methods will not work in the conditions of after dinner entertainment -. which is where I perform.

The Problems With Performing Q \\ & A As Part Of Your After Dinner \\ & Banquet Shows

  1. When do the cards get filled out and collected? If during the show them it's a huge amount ofdead time. If before the show then how do we prove to the audience that we did not just steal some of their cards while they were chatting, eating or had their attention otherwise diverted?
  2. It often means holding a clipboard, blindfolding yourself or having some other visual compromise that just does not feel right.
  3. You have to take one of your existing pieces out of your act to put Q \\ & A in.
  4. Q \\ & A does not have an ending, so can leave you wondering how to end the Q \\ & A section.
  5. You need to have an assistant - I travel alone.
  6. Some fancy technology is required, and that stuff breaks down.

With Banquet Q \\ & A you'll be able to:

  1. Have the cards filled out and collected inthefairest maner that has the audience 100% assured you can not tamper nor peek at them.
  2. Perform Q \\ & A hands free without needing to look at or touchanything(not even the billets / cards!).
  3. Leave every piece of your act in, add a Q \\ & A in to the mix and not extend your performance run-time much, if at all.
  4. No need to even re-think the ending of your Q \\ & A ever again - its totally taken care of.
  5. Perform the full Q \\ & A as a one-man operation (of course in theatres you may choose to have ushers pass stuff around too but it's totally optional)
  6. This is totally low-tech, with no batteries, magnets, strings or anything to snap or run out

This release does not only contain my methods for Q \\ & A, but my thoughts and philosophies around the performance of mentalism and Q \\ & A.

The book contains some levels of profanity, and is currently in the pre-publication stage. I'm looking for a group of 20 or so people to get hold of it and then discuss with the group which bits do not need sharing (that we should keep to ourselves and away from publication) and generally improve it.

All of the pre-release copies sold out very quickly, however if you'd like to be alerted as soon as the book is available please register for First Look access:
